CHEVY CHASE, MARYLAND – Shopping center leasing, management and development company JBG Rosenfeld Retail (JBGR) has added three new restaurant concepts to its roster of tenant representation clients, including two that are new to the metropolitan Washington area.  American Flatbread, Tenderjack’s and Outback Steakhouse recently turned to the Chevy Chase-based company for expansion assistance in the DC market, augmenting an already impressive list of retailers JBGR exclusively represents in the region.  JBGR Leasing Directors John Mitchell and Billy Orlove are responsible for the accounts.

“We are pleased to have the opportunity to introduce American Flatbread and Tenderjack’s to this market,” said JBGR Executive Vice President Bob Schwenger, “as well as assist an already popular concept like Outback further develop its presence in the region.  While each restaurant has unique space requirements and lease terms, we are confident that we will be able to provide each client with the level of service and professionalism that has become synonymous with the JBG Rosenfeld name.”  JBGR already has secured flagship locations for American Flatbread and Tenderjack’s, at Broadlands and Leesburg, respectively. Both restaurants will open this year.

Best known for its line of frozen pizzas available at select grocery stores, American Flatbread is a wood-fired pizza concept based in Waitsfield, VT, now expanding with licensed bakeries and restaurants that offer the same unique, high-quality pizzas in a wood-fired oven using all natural, local and organic ingredients.  The first American Flatbread in Virginia will be a 4,800 square-foot restaurant in the Broadlands Southern Walk Village Center, scheduled to open in May.

Founded by a former Outback executive, Tenderjack’s offers a full complement of freshly prepared chicken tenders, burgers, and salads, served with the restaurant’s signature dipping sauces and homemade dressings.  The first restaurant for the concept, currently under construction, is a 2,600 square-foot location on Market Street in Leesburg.  Tenderjack’s seeks to open two to four more restaurants each year.  For a full menu, visit www.tenderjacks.com.

Outback Steakhouse, owned by OSI Restaurant Partners of Tampa, FL, is an Australian steakhouse concept serving chicken, ribs, steaks, seafood, and pasta dishes with more than 30 locations in the greater Washington area.  Outback currently seeks additional sites throughout the market averaging 7,000 square feet.

Based in Chevy Chase, Maryland, JBG Rosenfeld Retail specializes in the leasing, development, acquisition, construction, and management of retail properties throughout the mid-Atlantic region.  Currently, JBGR holds more than 30 shopping centers, nine freestanding store sites, and numerous mixed-use retail sites in its portfolio.  For more information on the full scope of the company’s services, call (301) 657-0700, or visit www.jbgr.com.
