CHEVY CHASE, MARYLAND – A locally owned and operated buffalo wing concept recently opened a new, 4,000 square-foot restaurant at Loehmann’s Plaza in Rockville, the fifth location for the chain in Montgomery County.  Buffalo Wings & Beer (BWB), best known for its extensive selection of both buffalo wing sauces and beer, is located to the right of Loehmann’s between Care Cleaners and Royal Martial Arts.  With this lease, the center currently is 94% leased.

“Buffalo Wings & Beer is a welcome addition to an already solid tenant mix at Loehmann’s Plaza,” said JBGR Executive Vice President Bob Schwenger.  “The concept prides itself on providing a ‘neighborhood feel’, which is in keeping with our objective to position the center as a one-stop community shopping center, where customers can park and accomplish all of their errands with one stop.  We believe the residents of the surrounding neighborhoods will come to appreciate BWB’s convenience rather quickly.”

Founded by Montgomery County resident Ira Levy in 1995, Buffalo Wings & Beer describes itself as a “gathering place for the sports-oriented”, offering its signature wings with 78 sauce combinations, numerous draft and bottled beer selections, plus sandwiches, soups, salads, and wraps.  In addition, most restaurants feature separate game rooms featuring pool tables, darts, and numerous televisions.  The Loehmann’s Plaza restaurant is the 11th location for the chain in Maryland, which serves residents as far north as Hagerstown, and as far south as Leonardtown in Saint Mary’s County.  For more information on the concept, visit www.buffalowingsandbeer.com.

Loehmann’s Plaza is a 118,500 square-foot Safeway-anchored community shopping center located on Randolph Road, approximately ¼-mile off Rockville Pike (Route 355).  The center, which was built in 1991, was redeveloped by JBGR in 1997, resulting in the addition of 45,000 square-feet to the property.  Other tenants at the center include department store Loehmann’s, Chuck E. Cheese, Congressional Bank, Sherwin Williams, Subway, and numerous other service providers.
